It appears that the outcry of loyal Xmarks users has not fallen on deaf ears. As per the latest blog post, http://blog.xmarks.com/?p=1988, the CEO of Xmarks has indicated that more companies have taken an interest. Sale of the company appears to loom in its near future.

I thought this link was interesting. Lifehacker has instructions on how to get Xmarks to sync with your own server. It may be the next best alternative if Xmarks does indeed shut down.

@Jon Christensen: I'd hear the same thing. There's a petition going around to see who would be willing to pay for it. I think it'd be worth it. I don't know of any other similar solutions which are cross-browser compatible.

I've been an Xmarks (Foxmarks) user for as long as I've used Firefox & use it to sync between machines and browsers. I was saddened to receive an email from them saying they are closing their doors - http://blog.xmarks.com/.

I like the new look. It loads fast on my phone too. (Vibrant).
To celebrate, you should give something away that your wife makes. Preferably at work. :)

The Motorola DROID continues to present new possibilities every day. I've had it for about 10 months and We have had a Blackberry attached to my system because September 1998. Becoming connected is usually a critical aspect of my existence so I am usually reachable by family members and co-workers. I'm a bit addicted to the Current market for DROID Applications. When the device had limitless memory I would check the capacity. I believe this OS could be the way in the future and intend to grow with all of you to learn it as a result of and by means of. Thanks for that content.
